Born on May 20, 1976, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Marvin D. Rouse first recognized his interest in colors and was inspired by his Uncle, and began drawing at the age of five. By twelve-years-old, he excelled in art at school and employed his artistic skills as a young entrepreneur, selling his art on t-shirts and jean jackets. In 1995, Rouse started his business at eighteen-years-old, providing local Indianapolis homeowners and businesses his design services, completing everything from album covers to large scale murals.

In May of 1998, Rouse relocated from Indianapolis to Naples, FL, with a dream to further his art career. Upon moving, he established his business as Rouse Designs, LLC, providing the community a creative service built mostly through word of mouth. Now, 20 years later, the artist has a growing demand and presence in Naples. His art is about love and emotions expressed through color, thought-provoking images to encourage feelings of happiness, expressing the feelings we all share. A gifted artist with raw talent, it shows in his signature style mostly present in his abstract works. He is creatively prolific, being commissioned to paint everything from animals to exotic cars.

In 2018, he held successful exhibitions starting downtown with the NAA “Dinner with Artist selling several pieces during his live art painting and Displaying Large Works at the in “Seen to be Seen’’. He was one of the artists to paint a mural in 2017 on Naples Developer Phil McCabe’s construction wall on 5th Ave that was up for 18 months. His works are displayed in prestigious Law Firms, The Greater Naples Chambers of Commerce, and Doctors Offices in Naples as well as at his Private Studio.
